BATAM ISLAND MASTER PLAN In accordance with the master plan Batam Island is divided into 4 (four) development regions as follows: - Sekupang Region
Area extent = 11,352 Ha, covering : a. Sekupang Development Area (4,563 Ha) b. Tanjung Uncang and Sagulung Development Sub-Area (6,789 Ha) The extent which can be allocated is 5,908 Ha. With the allocation as follows : - Electronic Industry and Light Industry - Housing and Tourism - Animal Husbandry - Fishery and Plantation - Office complex and Shopping Complex - Batu Ampar Development Area
Area extent = 10,540 Ha, covering : a. Batu Ampar Development Sub-Area (3,609 Ha) b. Muka Kuning Developing Sub-Area (6,931 Ha) The extent which can be allocated is 1,800 Ha. With the allocation as follows : - Industry to support off-shore oil drilling - Electronic Industry - Office Complex - Shopping Complex - Housing - East Coast Development Area
Area extent = 17,141 Ha, covering : a. Nongsa Development Sub-Area (3,706 Ha) b. Kabil Development Sub-Area (5,165 Ha) c. Duri Angkang - Tg. Piayu Development Sub-Area (8,270 Ha) The extent which can be located is 6,608 Ha with allocation as follows : - Basic Industry and Small - Tourism - Housing - Area Development of Particularly Batam Center
Area extent = 2,567 Ha The extent which can be allocated is 1,300 Ha which the allocation as follows : - High Technology Industry - Governmental Center - Trade Center - Marina - Education and Health - Housing
