Nagoya Restaurants PDF Print E-mail
Nagoya restaurants offer the dinner a large selection of choices. Nagoya City is Batam’s main city, and has a vast selection of restaurants, spread out over a large area. The easiest way to get about is by Batam taxis, which are always readily available

You can catch them from your hotel or a taxi stand, or if you are on foot, just hail a passing taxi. Most taxis in Batam don’t have meters so your negotiating skills will come in handy!

In Nagoya you will be overwhelmed with the choices of dining places on offer, so best is to ask at your hotel or the taxi drivers where the best places are, or just take a walk around the city and look at what is on offer.
There is a maze of smaller streets and roads, along which you can find dining places to suit your taste, and most are inexpensive but offer good food and a great dining experience!

Although this restaurant is owned by Yong Kee, everyone knows it as Rumah Makan Istimewa so be sure to say this to the driver. Within Nagoya City Center, this restaurant is located beside a local telephone shop. Perhaps it's useful for you to know that this restaurant also comes along with a money changer. This restaurant has also recently opened branches in Batam Center and Panbil Mall. This restaurant is best for its seafood soups. Though the soup looks clear, it is so rich in flavour it is a taste to remember! This costs about 15,000 rupiahs a bowl. This translates to about US$1.50.
- Has a wide variety of Indonesian & Chinese dishes, with seafood very popular (not a live seafood restaurant). Gets a very big crowd in during lunch time from the surrounding office centers. Has a ground floor section with a more up-market restaurant upstairs, can hold up to approx 100 persons

    * A1 Food Court [See images here]
Pujasera A1 is the place locals choose, and it goes with the price! Look carefully at our table for 4 persons which cost us less than 130,000 rupiahs. Altogether, on our table were a plate of chilli crab, siput gonggong, siput sedut [that's snails], baby kailan, rice, drinks and a bottle of Tiger. That translates to US$2 per person! By the way, use the sticks provided to help you get those shellfish.
